UVEF
Established in 2001, the Unità di Valutazione dell’Efficacia del Farmaco (Drug Effectiveness Evaluation Unit) is part of the Regional Reference Centre for pharmaceutical agents in Veneto. Our major goal is to develop of an objective evaluation system of new technologies that can be used as a guide for decision makers in healthcare.
More specifically, the UVEF’s aims are as follows:
- To select and evaluate available literature data on drugs to support the assessment by regional therapeutic commissions
- To update the Hospital Drug formulary of the Veneto region
- To inform and update local P&T committees about the activities of the regional commissions
- To publish a bulletin
- To coordinate projects relative to the use and epidemiology of pharmaceuticals within the network of hospitals in the Veneto region
UVEF is located in the Pharmacies Services of the Azienda Ospedaliera di Verona
